ANNOUNCING H-MedAnthro: H-Net Network on Medical Anthropology

Sponsored by

H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences Online
and
The Society for Medical Anthropology

ABOUT H-MedAnthro

This list addresses the needs and concerns of medical anthropology graduate
students, practicing anthropologists, scholars, and scholar activists who
address issues of local, national and international health importance. The
list and its accompanying web sites form the hub of an active research
community and a storehouse for information supporting the endeavors of
medical anthropologists and their colleagues in allied social science
fields. We use these technologies to inform the general public and policy-
makers of the scope and breadth of medical anthropology. The discussion
list and accompanying web sites, like the field of medical anthropology,
draw upon and benefit from a wide range of theories and methods. They also
serves as a space to promote and foster collaboration and coalition-
building.

Like all H-Net lists, H-MedAnthro is moderated to edit out material that,
in the editors' opinion, is not germane to the list, involves technical
matters (such as subscription management requests), is inflammatory, or
violates evolving, yet common, standards of Internet etiquette. H-Net's
procedure for resolving disputes over list editorial practices is Article
II, Section 2.20 of our bylaws, located at:

http://www.h-net.org/about/by-laws.html

Logs and more information can also be found at the H-Net Web Site, located
at:

http://www.h-net.org/~medanthro/
