Family Health International has released Delivering Antiretroviral
Therapy in Resource-Constrained Settings: Lessons from Ghana, Kenya and
Rwanda, which documents pioneering work to introduce ART into
comprehensive HIV programs. The 120-page document, available at:

governments, development partners and health facilities seeking to
integrate ART into existing HIV services in developing country settings.
FHI and its partners have learned valuable lessons that can guide
development of ART services in Africa and other regions. This book
shares many of these, along with strategies, challenges and
recommendations. Comments by national and community leaders, providers
and patients appear throughout the text to give readers a sense of the
programs as they progressed. The book features nine chapters, each
