I am at a conference at the moment and do not have access to all of my files, but the UK has done extensive research on this topic and has adopted many practices for the cancer community groups as well as inclusion of their cancer populations (individuals). As a matter of interest there was a recent publication in ovarian cancer where a hospital procedure was changed after patient/community consultations. I also am not sure if the abstracts from the November BC conference are still on line, but the conference can be found by googling "Where's the Patients' Voice in Health Professional Education? BC.. The abstracts will lead you to the research/programs which might be useful.
