Dear Collegues,I am a young public health professional starting my career in the area of
community health promotion, specifically in rural French-speaking communities
in Manitoba, Canada.
While I firmly believe in the importance of interventions focused on
individuals and their lifestyle behaviors, many such programs are already
firmly established in these communities. Part of my mandate is to address
environmental factors that are detrimental to the health of these populations,
a task that I am very excited about doing but yet I'm unsure of how to put into
action. I am writing to ask for your insight and experiences in this matter,
specifically in rural communities. Are you aware of any literature that I
should consult? What experiences have you had and what were their outcomes? Any
advice, suggestions and comments are welcome.

Sincerely,

Carrie Anna McGinn
