Hello,
You may be interested in two of the many resources that I have come across:
"Collaboration: What Makes it Work" A review of research literature on
factors influencing successful collaboration. Authors are Paul Mattessich
and Barbara Monsey and it was published by the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation
in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1992. The other is
"Collaboration Framework - Addressing Community Capacity" has a table which
compares networking, alliances, partnerships, coalitions and collaborations.
It was published in 1995/6 by the National Network for Collaboration, with
Authors Bergstrom, A. et al., and available by contacting the NNC in Fargo,
N.Dakota, (701) 231-8568 or at http://www.cyfernet.mes.umn.edu:2400
Of course, the best book still on Collaboration is by Barbara Gray.
Hope this helps.

Subject: Organizing Structures/Models for Community Work on Community
Health

Hello,
Would anyone be able to direct me to recent summary reports or research
comparing the effectiveness, pro/cons, challenges of various structures such
as networks, coalitions, formal or informal partnerships, lead agency models
in improving community health at a community level?
Thank you for your assistance.
Erica MacIntyre, Health Planner
