The Canadian Health Network (CHN) is a national, non-profit, bilingual
web-based health information service. CHN's mission is to support Canadians
in making informed choices about their health, by providing access to
multiple sources of credible and practical e-health information. Its vision
is to become "Your preferred choice in Canada for helpful, e-health
information you can trust."

POSITION:
Content Coordinator  (35 hrs/wk)
Reporting to the CHN Active Living Project Manager, the Content Coordinator
will be responsible for the content presented on the CHN Active Living
Health Centre.  The CHN Active Living Health Centre is affiliated with the
Alberta Centre for Active Living, a centre of the Faculty of Physical
Education and Recreation at the University of Alberta
(www.centre4activeliving.ca) and the Leisure Information Network
(www.lin.ca).

SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include reviewing existing site content, making
recommendations for change, conducting gap analyses (i.e. identifying gaps
or lack of information), developing new information products, and
identifying new information sources.  The Content Coordinator will
communicate with and market CHN to active living organizations across Canad,
and respond to information requests on active living.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- undergraduate degree in physical education or equivalent (Master’s degree
preferred);
- physical activity knowledge and experience;
- certification in fitness leadership or instruction preferred;
- medium to high proficiency using the internet and Microsoft Office;
- excellent written and oral communication and strong interpersonal and
organization skills;
- experience in and knowledge of the active living community / network in
Canada is desirable;
- French language and writing skills preferred.

SALARY RANGE:
$2,826–$3,565/month. A comprehensive benefits package is included.
