Hi Kristie,

If you go to the Health in Action (www.health-in-action.org) website you
will find many programs, contacts and resources for tobacco reduction
with children. First of all search under the programs database and
insert tobacco into the keywords line and press the search button at
http://www.health-in-action.org/searchdb/program_search.asp . You can
also do this at the people/agencies, research or resources databases the
same way. Additionally, there are many weblinks on tobacco reduction at
http://www.health-in-action.org/weblinks/hlthpromo.shtml if you scroll
down the page a bit under tobacco and health.

Health in Action is in place for Alberta practitioners in health
promotion and injury prevention like yourself to utilize to improve your
practice. Let's not reinvent the wheel, let's learn from each other.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

Dawn

Subject: Tobacco Reduction for Children

RE: Requesting information on Tobacco Reduction Programs

Hello!

I'm looking for tobacco reduction resources, programs, and strategies
that target children in the kindergarten to grade 3 age group (approx.
age 5-8 years)

Thanks in advance for your help!
