Our information is based our the legislation in Victoria, Australia but there is also plenty thats universal across the globe.

Also checkout http://www.iarc.fr/en/media-centre/iarcnews/2009/sunbeds_uvradiation.php

UV radiation levels are rising in Victoria so don't wait until summer to use sun protection.
Check the SunSmart UV Alert every day at www.sunsmart.com.au and make sure you Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide.

Subject: Service Provider Workshop - Discourage Artificial Tanning in
Teens

Hello Everyone,

Myself and a colleague are currently developing a service provider workshop on the myths of artificial tanning as well as Health Canada’s guidelines regarding artificial tanning. Rather than inviting the artificial tanning service providers to this workshop, we aim to invite alternate service providers who cater to teens at risk of artificial tanning. These include hairdressers, gyms, spas, dressmakers/clothing stores, etc.

As this is our first attempt at such a workshop, we are wondering if anyone has done or thought about doing something similar and if they have any advice/suggestions to share.

Thanks for your help,

Pat
