Subject: International Summer School on Physical Activity
Dear Alison Edwards,
Dr. Bruce Reeder, a Canadian Heart Health Initiatives Partner, asked
that I contact you regarding an upcoming event.
In Motion Saskatoon, the University of Saskatchewan and the WHO
Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Stroke Prevention,
Epidemiology and Surveillance will be sponsoring an international summer
school to be held at the University of Saskatchewan from August 20-24,
2001. The Summer School is entitled Community-based Strategies to
Enhance Physical Activity. It will feature local, national and
international speakers and will include discussion groups and panel
discussions to enhance learning and encourage practical application of
the presented theories and research.
We believe that this summer school would be of interest to the
subscribers of your list-serve.
I have attached a one-page announcement about the summer school. If
possible, could you please forward the announcement to your list-serve
subscribers and to any other colleagues that you believe would be
interested in the summer school. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Lesley Rugg
Coordinator of the
Community-based Strategies to
Enhance Physical Activity
