QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ABOUT THE CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL HEALTH REGISTRY

Q: What is it?
A: The Canadian International Health Registry is a CSIH database of
international health workers.

Q: Why do we have it?
A: In the past, CSIH has been approached both by organizations seeking
our help in finding a consultant or filling a position, and by
international health workers seeking employment. The database is an
attempt to record the basic expertise of international health workers
CSIH has met along the way. International health workers can fill in
an online form to become a part of the database. The form includes
fields for contact information, academic training, language ability, and
expertise. Information submitted can only be accessed by CSIH. At the
request of potential employers, CSIH will carry out a keyword search of
the database to try and find a qualified candidate. CSIH operates the
Canadian International Health Registry with the aim of helping to
connect international health workers.

Q: How do I join?
A: The form for the Canadian International Health Registry may be
completed online at the CSIH website: www.csih.org. After completion
of the form, we ask that you send CSIH a CV to complement your
registration: by e-mail at [log in to unmask], by fax at (613) 241-3845, or
by mail at 1 Nicholas Street, Suite 1105, Ottawa, Ontario, K1N 7B7,
Canada.

as a result of pregnancy and childbirth. For more information, see the
press release at: http://www.unicef.org/newsline/02pr59afghanmm.htm.
