The Ontario Women's Health Network (OWHN)/ Le Réseau ontarien pour la santé
des femmes (http://www.owhn.on.ca) is seeking a:

Provincial Coordinator
*       12 month contract beginning in January 2003, with possibility of
renewal
*       21 hours/3 days per week

Since 1997, the Ontario Womens Health Network/Le Reseau ontarien pour la
santé des femmes has worked with women, service and care providers, local
groups, health practitioners, and other organizations in Ontario to share
information and resources on issues related to women's health. OWHN embraces
a holistic view of health that includes not only women's physical resources,
but also the economic, social and environmental conditions of their lives.
We have structured our organization around a strong set of values and

We are seeking a part-time (3 days/week) Provincial Coordinator/Project
Coordinator to undertake the following 3 goals:

1.      Create a bilingual provincial clearinghouse for women's health
information and women's health services.
2.      Develop a coordinated, provincial network of women's health and
service information, with women's centres and women's health organizations
across Ontario.
3.      Conduct a series of women's health discussion groups throughout
Ontario over three years. 

Qualifications:
*       University degree, Masters level preferred in health promotion,
community development, social sciences or related discipline.
*       Proficiency in English and French. Clearly indicate your language
proficiency.
*       Excellent project management skills and ability to work closely with
project funder
*       Fundraising and sustainability development experience
*       Budget experience
*       Good knowledge provincial community resources in Ontario,
particularly for women.
*       Strong supervisory skills.
*       Excellent oral and written communication skills 
*       Ability to co-ordinate a variety of groups and individuals,
including a volunteer Board of Directors, Regional Organizer, part-time
administrative assistant and volunteers. 
*       Ability to liaise and network with women's health partners,
potential funders and government.
*       Experience working with multisectoral and diverse populations, an
asset.
*       Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office a requirement. Quickbooks,
HTML and Filemaker Pro, an asset.
