There was an unplanned Internet service interruption this morning
(Friday, March 8) between 7:30am - 8:00am.
York's Internet Service Provider (ONet) had some connectivity
problems with one of their Internet bandwidth providers (Global
Telecom) this morning. This problem appears to have had a dramatic
impact on the amount of Internet bandwidth available to ONet users,
including York users. It is likely that this service interruption
caused problems for people trying to access York resources over the
Internet, as well as problems for people on campus trying to access
off-campus resources.
The problem was resolved this morning around 8am, and Internet
access has returned to normal at that point.
