Happy New Year Everyone!

Have you ever wanted to get published?
The editors of the Ontario Health Promotion Email Bulletin, or OHPE for
short, are on the prowl for people willing to write briefly about their
work.
In general, OHPE's editors are interested in topics that relate to the
determinants of health (such as income & economic development), strategies
for health promotion (including capacity-building, & prevention), priority
populations (for example aboriginal communities, disabled, & people in
remote and rural communities), settings (like leisure, social services and
justice) & to the many issues relevant to health promotion practice.

We currently have a specific need for short 'features' or articles on:
leisure,
income and social status,
personal health practices and coping skills,
family/home,
visible minorities,
social support networks,
aboriginal people,
cancer,
enforcement/justice,
and health reform.

Oh, you haven't heard of us? Well, you're in a shrinking minority. The OHPE
Bulletin has more than 1400 subscribers . And it doesn't stop there-people
copy and share, check it out on the Internet (at http://www.ohpe.ca) and
next thing you know it's actually read by over 5,000 people.
What all these people are reading is a free weekly email newsletter of
announcements, events, job postings & resources of interest to Ontario's
health promotion community. And every two weeks we have a special issue with
an in-depth feature written by practitioners with something to share.
And that's where you come in. We think you're one of those people. Our
readers are interested in anything new and useful with the potential to help
them in their work.
Our writers have their programs or research talked about across the province
and beyond.
As you can see, the possibilities are far ranging . And OHPE is far reaching
with subscribers from around the world. So if you, or your organization has
a particular topic you feel fits, check out the guidelines below & get in
touch!
We look forward to hearing from you. Contact the editorial team at
