EDUCATION AND RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR

The Alberta Cancer Board is the provincial agency responsible for cancer
treatment, research, supportive care, prevention and early detection.
The Division of Population Health & Information at the Alberta Cancer
Board has a full-time one year term (maternity leave) opportunity
available for an Education and Recruitment Coordinator to be located in
Calgary, Alberta.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

*         Act as liaison with project coordinators of ACCSP funded
projects

*         In collaboration with Health Promotion Manager and program
evaluator review reports from project coordinators and provide feedback
and guidance as required.

*         Coordinate development and dissemination of educational
resources

*         Provide training to communities in the area of cervical cancer
education and use of ACCSP resources

*         Work with the Health Promotion Manager to administer community
project grants

*         Provide support to communities to write proposals for funding,
carry out projects and report on project results.

*         May provide support related to the launch of the Alberta
Breast Cancer Screening Program

 

Qualifications & Experience:

*         Minimum of a bachelor's degree (masters preferred) in health
promotion, communication or a related discipline.

*         Five years progressive experience, preferably in a health,
education or community development related environment.

*         Excellent organizational and project management skills with
attention to detail. 

*         Experience in communicating effectively with diverse
populations.

*         Experience in delivering training presentations.

*         Well-developed verbal, written and computer skills.

*         Proven proficiency using standard computer programs such as MS
Office and e-mail is required.

*         Ability to travel within Alberta.
