Subject: Family friendly workplace practices
Halton is currently working on the promotion of family-friendly workplace
practices with the intention that parenting skills should improve if
parents' work-related stress can be reduced (and therefore children's
health will improve).
A baseline survey is being proposed to collect information on the following:
- types of workplace support options in place (flex time, job sharing, on
site day care etc.)
- challenges to offering more or any family-friendly workplace options
- we will also collect info on number of employees, classification of
workplace (non-profit, private sector, etc), classification of type of
employer (manufacturing, retail, etc.)
So far we have not found any other surveys related to this topic. If you
have worked on (or are currently working on) a survey of this nature or know
of any other resources that may help, please let me know.
