Posted on behalf of a non-subscriber who would like some contacts and
information resources. Please contact her directly or reply to the list and
hopefully one of her colleagues at City of Hamilton Public Health &
Community Services Department, who are subscribers to CLICK4HP, will pass on
the responses.

Please note - if your email address has been changed (as has happened for
the @hamilton.ca subscribers), you may still be able to receive your
CLICK4HP postings, but not be able to post your own messages. Contact the
CLICK4HP facilitators at <[log in to unmask]>, and we can change your
email address on the list for you, helping you to participate actively in
this list!

Hello!

My name is Shannen Sorgi and I am a Health Promotion Specialist with the
City of Hamilton Public Health and Community Services Department. I am also
the chair of PACE: The Hamilton Project on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
(FASD).

This year, one of the project's activities is to develop a "personal
reminder", an item to help women of child-bearing years to remember to not
drink during pregnancy. We have discussed fridge magnets, nail files, a
pin/ribbons (using the example of a pink ribbon to increase awareness about
breast cancer), mugs, etc.

What I am looking for is literature or research that would support the use
of any particular item as an awareness-raising tool.

I appreciate any information you can provide. Please email me directly at
[log in to unmask] if you have a response or comments.

Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

Shannen
