The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia is currently seeking
qualified individuals to complete a short-term contract to make
recommendations regarding the role of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of
Nova Scotia in cardiac and stroke rehabilitation and secondary prevention
education in Nova Scotia.  The contract will involve:

·       Consultation with Heart and Stroke Foundation staff and volunteers.
·       Review of current practice and/or consultation with representatives
from the Yarmouth Stroke Project, Nova Scotia Integrated Stroke Strategy,
ICONS, and other related provincial projects.
·       Compilation of a review of literature.
·       Identify and consult with stakeholders.
·       Recommendations for appropriate roles for the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Nova Scotia.


The respondent will:

Complete the environmental scan as requested.
Based on the literature review and consultations, provide specific
recommendations and activities to the Director of Health Promotion in the
final report.


The project deadline is September 30, 2003. NOTE: Respondents are eligible
to receive up to a maximum of $10,000 that includes all related costs to
complete this project.
