Check out the Canadian Paediatric Society website. They have a special
section with resources, practice tools, a list of champions, etc. at

Subject: Call for information: Preschool physical activity & play
Hello,
I am looking for information surrounding preschool activity for a research
project I am assisting with. Below are 2 areas that I am seeking more info
on:
1. The most promising practices of physical activity and play programs for
the 4-6 year old age cohort.
2. Reasons why families do engage (enablers) in gross motor play with their
preschool (4-6 year old) children and reasons why families do not engage
(barriers) in gross motor play with their preschool (4-6 year old)>
children.
I would appreciate any information on current research/projects that are
underway as well as any other direction pertaining to resources related to
the above two points.
Thanks in advance for your help and expertise!
Courtney
