Lesley, I will check with the Healthy Child Manitoba staff and see if they
have some well studied applications and ask them to get back to you.  They
have done some pretty good analytical work on this.

Subject: Low birth weight - models for population health interventions

Greetings list-serve participants!

I am looking for models of population health interventions to prevent/reduce
low birth weight outcomes. We have considerable evidence related to
determinants and clinical practices, but are having difficulty identifying
models for community and population based interventions that have been
evaluated and are effective.  If anyone has any examples or suggestions
please forward them to the contact information below.
