It certainly boggles the mind that erudite, intelligent and stimulating
individuals cannot find the means to be thought provoking and insightful
without also demeaning the opinions of others.

Isn't social justice about valuing how others fell / think? Several emails
have expressed that this is how they felt. I think we should all value that
feedback.

An interesting commentary that expressing yourself in a way that doesn't
judge or demean others is interpreted as siliencing debate and the exchange
of ideas. I just thought it meant that you should challenge / provode and
exchange ideas in a way that is respectful. Sorry to see that it is so
contentious.
