There are still a few spots left in the May 23, 24 workshop on alcohol
and pregnancy. This workshop will take place in Toronto and is for
Ontario Family
Physicians. Please share this information with Family Physicians in your
community. Twenty Family Physicians from across Ontario will be selected
for this
workshop. Costs, including transportation, accommodations etc are
covered by Best Start. Participants must commit to providing a minimum
of 2 presentations on
the topic following the workshop. Workshop information and registration

Here are some details about the workshop:
-Date: May 23 in the evening and all day on May 24
-Location: Toronto, Ontario
-CME Credits: This program meets the accreditation criteria of the
College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been accredited for 8.0
Mainpro-C credits.
-Costs: Best Start will cover participants travel expenses,
accommodations and meals. There is no fee to register for the workshop.
-Participants: Family physicians practicing in Ontario
-Content of workshop: This workshop will train family physicians to
assess and address alcohol use in pregnancy. There is a supplementary
session on diagnosis of FAS and related conditions.
-Presenter: The main presenter is Dr. Peter Selby, CAMH & Motherisk
-Commitment: Workshop participants must commit to providing a minimum of

2 presentations on alcohol use in pregnancy.
