In case you had not heard: The Community Services Committee has recommended to
Toronto City Council endorsement of  the Toronto Charter for a Healthy Canada.
It is on the agenda for Council next week. It has already been endorsed by the
Board of Health. The Charter came out of a Health Canada funded conference in
Toronto last December.

Please consider having your local health board or city council -- in Canada --
review and endorse it.

What is interesting about the Charter is that it can be used as a scoresheet
against which municipal, provincial, and federal policy can be evaluated as to
their health effects on the population. The conclusion is especially interesting
regarding the Harris/Eves health legacy.
