Put mental health on your agenda! A free Public Education Forum and
Community Resource Fair, taking place during Mental Health Week, will
feature exhibits, lectures/speakers, and representatives from over 50
community service organizations in the GTA.

John Service, Executive Director of the Canadian Psychological Association,
to the roster of featured speakers at the free Public Education Forum and
Community Resource fair taking place Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7 in
Toronto.
Dr. Service will speak May 6th at 2:15 p.m. on "SARS: Troubled Times -
Living with Anxiety." Dr. Service will address how we can take action to
help ourselves, family, friends and co-workers cope effectively. He will
discuss mentally healthy strategies that can make people more resilient in
difficult times, such as the present SARS crisis. An experienced
professional, Dr. Service is no stranger to helping people cope with
difficult situations, having been a member of the mental health team during
the Westray Mine disaster. He is also a contributing author to Health Canada
brochures on war and terrorism in response to 9/11.
