National Capital Region.

Salary  and  Benefits:  CIHR offers attractive benefits. The salary will be
based  on  the  individual's qualification and experience. The salary range
for  this  position is $103,700 to $125,000 per annum (under review).  This
salary  range  includes  compensation  for  hours  worked outside of normal
business hours.


                            Screening Criteria

Education:  Graduation  with a Doctoral degree from a recognized university
in a specialization related to the duties of the position, OR an equivalent
combination of education and experience.


Experience:




§ Develops Knowledge Creation Programs' strategic and operational plans to support the strategic objectives of CIHR; § Through a team of seven Deputy Directors, manages competition and peer review processes for programs the lead to the creation of new knowledge; § Leads the adoption of new technologies to improve quality and minimize the cost of program delivery, and § Requires strong background in one or more areas of health research, preferably as an independent investigator with record of grants and publications, and senior management experience. Language Requirements: Bilingual Imperative (CCC/CCC) Candidates must clearly demonstrate in writing that they meet all of the above qualifications.
