Citizens for Public Health Presents:
Our City, Our Health, Our Vision
A Citizens' Forum on the Future of Public Health
with Raisa Deber
Professor of Health Policy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto
and Fran Perkins
Director of the City of Toronto's Healthy City Office
Monday, June 8 - 7:00 p.m.
Metro Hall - 27th Floor (at King & John)
Recently we've all spent a lot of time "holding the line" against spending
cuts. The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for us to take some
time to re-visit the broad vision of Toronto as a healthy city with healthy
citizens. What policies and directions do we need? What role can Public
Health play?
There will be an opportunity for small-group discussion and reporting back,
so as to capture your ideas. This is the first in a series of forums
sponsored by Citizens for Public Health. We will be inviting policy makers
and presenting reports to the Board of Health for consideration.
ADMISSION IS FREE, BUT WE REQUEST THAT YOU PRE-REGISTER BY
CALLING 392-6653.
Co-sponsored by FoodShare, the AIDS Commitee of Toronto and
the Community Social Planning Council of Toronto

Canalising a river
Grafting a fruit tree
Educating a person
Transforming a state
These are instances of fruitful criticism
And at the same time instances of art.
