Matt is correct that the quote is from "About Play-Acting". In the 3  Aug
1898 letter to HH Rogers, SLC asks Rogers to have Miss Harrison tear out
and keep a copy of the article for him when it appears in publication.
That quote itself is not in the 3 Aug 1898 letter to Rogers as published in
MARK TWAIN'S CORRESPONDENCE WITH HENRY HUTTLESTON ROGERS.
