Health Promotion Coordinator

Salary: $56,089 to $64,755 per annum

As a Health Promotion Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing,
implementing and evaluating programs and services to promote healthy
decision-making and behavior.  The unit's approach is based on the
principles of health promotion, population heath and intersectional
collaboration consistent with the Department's vision and mandate, best
practices, and evidence-based decision making.  In addition, the position is
responsible for providing health education information and services.

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in a health or social
science discipline or education. Candidates must have recent experience
developing and delivering health promotion programs and services.
Additionally, experience in preparing and delivering presentations and
workshops to diverse groups including allied professionals and the public
would be an asset.  Applicants possessing a two-year diploma in a relevant
health, social science, or education discipline, from an accredited college
or university, together with significant experience in the above noted
areas, will also be considered.

Travel throughout the Territory is a requirement of this position.

An eligibility list will be established from this competition.  It will be
used to fill future vacancies, which may arise, for identical positions in
the same department and location.  The eligibility list will be valid for a
period of six months.
