A comprehensive, evidence-based information resource on hormonal implants is now just a click away. The Implants Toolkit, a product of the Long-Acting and Permanent Methods (LA/PM) Community of Practice, provides policy makers, health care providers, and program managers across the globe with state-of-the-art information on this highly safe and increasingly popular contraceptive method.

Hormonal implants are gaining popularity among a broad range of women wanting to time, space, or limit future pregnancies. As the number of such products-Implanon(r), Jadelle(r), and Sino-implant (II)(r)-grows, so does the need for a thorough, detailed resource devoted to them. The Implants Toolkit offers professionals around the world quick and easy access to information on programming and policy considerations relevant to hormonal implants-information that has been reviewed by expert panels and is housed in one convenient location.

Please go to www.k4health.org/toolkits/implants<http://www.k4health.org/toolkits/implants> to browse the eight thematic sections of the Implants Toolkit:

*       Essential Knowledge
*       Policies and Guidelines
*       Training
*       Logistics
*       Program Management
*       Service Delivery
*       Communication
*       Country Experiences

The Implants Toolkit will expand over time to incorporate new information, particularly evidence-based documentation on technological changes, innovative program approaches, and promising practices for improving family planning and reproductive health programs.

We welcome your input! There is a built-in discussion board<http://www.k4health.org/forum/660> available for you to post your comments, suggest additional resources, and share ideas about how you plan to use the toolkit in your work so that others can learn from and adapt your experiences.

The Implants Toolkit was developed by the LA/PM Community of Practice, under the leadership of EngenderHealth, Family Health International, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication Programs, and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
