Oh, were the people on BC's welfare system so fortunate! The 'nutritional
supplement' allowed on that system varies, but reaches a maximum of
$40/month. Worse, a health professional's written prescription doesn't
necessarily result in the person receiving a nutritional supplement. E.g., I
know women who, in spite of having a doctor's note, have been denied the
supplement.
