Dear SDOH colleagues,
The Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved (JHCPU) issues a Call

by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and co-edited by Drs. Camara Jones (CDC) and
Gillian Barclay (PAHO/WHO). The supplement will focus on global perspectives on
the social determinants of health and equity, with an emphasis on children's
health and well-being.
They seek papers that do one or more of the following:

health and equity, with an emphasis on underserved populations
ˇ Report on evidence-based interventions which address the
social determinants of health and equity to improve health outcomes among
children, especially in the Americas including Latin America and the Caribbean,
and in sub-Saharan Africa
ˇ Discuss existing and proposed trans-sectoral policy
(e.g., health social policy, health¯economic policy) to address the health
needs of children in one or more of these geographic areas
ˇ Discuss innovative trans-sectoral leadership and health
workforce models that incorporate the social determinants of health and equity
to address the health needs of children in one or more of these geographic
areas
ˇ Examine the interface of social and economic
structures, including labor, finance, and health, as it bears on children in
these populations
