We have utilized material from Channing Bete -
http://www.channing-bete.com/
- that are written not exactly in a comic book format but utilize a lot
of pictures and simple language. They have been good for our area which
has a lower level of literacy.
We also utilized sections of comic strips in our own community HP flyers
in order to get the attention of people.

the message
Hi all Click 4 HPers:
I am looking into the use of comics as a tool for
cross cultural public education and I'd love to get
any references or referrals from anyone on the list
that knew of an organization or an area that not only
used this tactic of public education but also
evaluated the effectiveness of the messages.
I know that there have been groups in New Zealand and
Australia, the Netherlands and San Francisco that have
used these approaches however I am not sure that the
technique has ever been fully evaluated.
Any info out there you want to share?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Tasha Kravchenko
