Here in Thunder Bay, we had several presenters that spoke to the kids:
we had the needle exchange guys talk about the risks of needles. We had
the treatment folks using their "Wheel of Misfortune" to educate about
risks that occur when taking drugs and using alcohol. We also had folks
from the Aids Committee talking about HEP C and Aids contracted through
injection drugs.

In March 2008, my health unit will be participating in Racing Against
Drugs. This event "is designed to promote healthy, drug free
lifestyles". The target audience is grade 5 students. We would like to
do an activity with the students, something interactive. However, the
activity can only take up a few minutes- 5 minutes max. Does anyone have
any suggestions or comments regarding what they have done in the past.
