Unfortunately this book has a tendency to put a 'good spin' on the real
reality that cancer survivorship has not dramatically altered in several
decades. However, having said this, the book touches on the specific
area of survivourship issues. It does not account for the disparities
in cancer care, which have been widely ignored and in particular of the
elderly and single mothers.
It is often surprizing to many to understand that cancer care does not
in fact address these underserved peoples.
