of the Dean, Population Health Forum, and Maternal and Child Public Health
Leadership Training Program

Dr. Hertzman is a Lawson Fellow of both the Population Health Program and
the Human Development Program of the Canadian Institute for Advanced
Research and is also Director for the Program in Population Health.  He
has played a central role in developing the conceptual framework for the
"determinants of Health" and elucidating the special role of early
childhood development as one of those key determinants.  He is the
co-editor with Dan Keating of Developmental Health and the Wealth of
Nations: Social, Biological and Educational Dynamics.
