Health Promotion Project Manager (.5 FTE)

The Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse (OPC) is Ontario's longest standing
prevention and health promotion organization, providing information,
education, consultation and networking services in French and English
province-wide. The Centre for Health Promotion (CHP) at the University of
Toronto, activates, develops and evaluates innovative health promotion
approaches in Canada and abroad. For more information see our websites

OPC and CHP are collaborating on a 3-year national bilingual project and are
seeking a part-time Project Manager who will be responsible for leading this
initiative. The successful applicant will work collaboratively to ensure
strategic decision-making, strong programming and positive outcomes. The
Project Manager will lead a team of one full time position and two part time
positions.

Responsibilities
*       Provide leadership and strategic direction for the project
*      Establish and maintain partnerships in health promotion
*      Co-ordinate the project, including liaison with the key partners
*      Develop and implement a marketing strategy to promote the project
*      Develop project protocols, policies and procedures
*      Ensure that services are planned and delivered to meet expectations
*      Hire, supervise and support project staff
*      Ensure that reporting requirements are met according to established
guidelines
*      Liaise with a national network of key stakeholders

Qualifications:
*       Master's level degree or equivalent experience in health promotion
or community/public health programming/administration or equivalent
*       Demonstrated project management, interpersonal and administrative
skills, including the ability to set priorities, establish timeframes,
organize resources
*       Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving ability
*       Experience in developing and supporting collaborative relationships
with different groups or agencies
*       Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation and
problem-solving skills
*       Ability to handle sensitive issues diplomatically and confidentially
*       Ability to work independently and as an integral team member
*       Experience with word processing, presentation software, e-mail,
internet/intranet usage, spreadsheets and databases
*       French fluency preferred
