Good morning,

I was actually in your Health and Poverty (3510) this summer, but I've been
watching some of the footage from Hurricane Katrina and I just want to let
you know that I have heard on the news a few times about the poverty in the
area and how this is affecting the people.  On NBC they said that there is
a
lot of viewers calling in outraged because they had no idea that so many
people were living below the poverty line.  Also, I saw some medical
officials saying that a lot of these people will be sick to begin with
because they are poor and they do not have money for medication.  So at
least the issue has come up, but who knows how far any government official
will take it.  Take care.
