Mark Twain’s Letters, 1876–1880
Now Available Electronically from the Mark Twain Project!

This month fans of Mark Twain’s letters will be able to get the next
installment from the Mark Twain Project online. Fast on the heels of our
print volume "Mark Twain’s Letters, Volume 6" the Mark Twain Project of UC
Berkeley is issuing our first electronic publication: "Mark Twain’s
Letters, 1876–1880: An Electronic Edition." This edition provides readers
with unprecedented access to every known letter written by Mark Twain
during this five-year span, one of his most productive and fascinating
periods. Presented with all of Mark Twain’s revisions but without
annotation and commentary, the more than 700 letters published here have
been carefully transcribed and dated. Readers can access the electronic
edition in two ways:

--immediately through ebrary.com. Individual account holders will be able
to browse the files for free and print out pages at $0.25 per page at the
web site http://discover.ebrary.com. Users at institutions that have ebrary
licenses will be able to search, view, and print the files at no personal
cost.

--by August 22, through http://amazon.com.
