Hello everyone. I'd appreciate your advice.

A few months ago, I announced to the list that WISE Society was beginning a
project 'Policies of Exclusion, Poverty and Health: Stories from the Front'.
We've completed Phase I of the project, the collection of the stories, and
are looking for a publisher.

WISE (Wellbeing through Inclusion Socially & Economically) is a nonprofit
organization whose core team is comprised of community and social advocates.
We're not academics, which I imagine narrows the field of publishers that
would even listen to us. We intend the stories to be available to more than
just researchers. We want the public to read them and once we have the book
in hand, we intend to take it on the road to raise awareness. Until the
general population wakes up, the politicians certainly won't.

While not all is doom and gloom in the collection, the stories include some
shocking revelations and surprises. Among the first is how great the impact
of poverty is on the health of these women. It's huge and it's frightening.
Even members of this list may be stunned.

Does anyone have any advice for me re getting the stories published? I
appreciate in advance your taking the time.

NB: Watch for a report of the stories to appear on our website by the end of
the month.

Ocean, Coordinator (and storyteller).
