organization with more than 90 student organization chapters at 
universities and medical schools throughout the world.

*_What Do Chapter Volunteers Do?_*
***Help to* eliminate preventable blindness *in your local community
**Provide vision screenings* for children and adults at local community 
centers such as homeless shelters, soup kitchens, markets, schools, 
libraries, and other community centers. These visual acuity screenings 
indicate vulnerability to eye disease.
**Match children and adults with free health coverage programs* so that 
they can receive a complete eye exam by a doctor.
**Raise awareness* about the importance of regular eye exams

*Participate in *international volunteer programs*

**Raise funds* for sight-restoring cataract surgeries in African and 
Asian countries.
