I just finished David Seedhouse's Health Promotion:
Philosophy, Prejudice, and Practice.

I recommend it highly.  I found it stimulating and
thoughtful and (by the way) consistent with some of my own
thinking.  He is a bit aggressive at times -- especially in
relation to some people who don't deserve it -- but
all-in-all it is a needed contribution to the health
promotion discourse.

I really couldn't put it down -- on a weekend yet!

He focuses, it appears to me, alot on the prerequisites of
health, but hey, so do I!

Its main contribution is exposing the role that values play
in determining one's approach to health promotion.  He also
has some very good material on the role of ethics in health
promotion practice.
