a) "Highlights from the Ever Active Adults (EAA) Evaluation Report"
By Timothy Fairbank, BPE, Older Adult Coordinator, Alberta Centre for Active
Living; Enrique García Bengoechea, PhD, Research Associate, Alberta Centre
for Active Living; and Marcia Oliveira, Master's student, Centre for Health
Promotion Studies, University of Alberta.
This report lists the highlights from a recent evaluation of  the Ever
Active Adults project (developed and piloted by the Alberta Centre for
Active Living). The report found that most respondents found the EAA course
valuable in a variety of ways.

b) "Fructose: An Obesity Culprit?"
By Kathryn Proudfoot, BSc, RD.
Between 1970 and 1997, the per capita daily use of fructose increased by
26%. Kathryn Proudfoot's article examines the possible role of fructose in
the current obesity epidemic.

a) Alberta Centre for Active Living chosen as Canadian Health Network
Affiliate
Health Canada has again selected the Alberta Centre for Active Living as the
Affiliate (with the Leisure Information Network) for the Active Living
section of the Canadian Health Network (CHN). For more information about
this exciting event, please visit the centre's web site at

b) Ever Active Adults
The Alberta Centre for Active Living recently asked Ever Active Adults
course participants to evaluate their training. For more information about
the participant evaluation, read the Ever Active Adults (EAA): Evaluation
Report at

The Ever Active Adults curriculum and course are being delivered across
Alberta by the Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLCA)
(www.provincialfitnessunit.ca/aflca.htm).

Cold Lake - September 16 and 17
Jasper - October 7 and 8
Lethbridge - November 24 and 25
