CPHA Pre-Conference Workshop - Only 25 spots left!

The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) conference is just around
the corner and the Public Health Agency of Canada's Canadian Best
Practices Team would like to invite you to attend the pre-conference
workshop that is being held Sunday, September 16th. This is an excellent
opportunity for decision-makers in policy , practice and research to get
hands-on experience with the Canadian Best Practices Portal for Health
Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention (www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/cbpp-pcpe)
and learn how this online tool can support your work in health promotion
and chronic disease prevention . This resource delivers timely and
effective information on chronic disease prevention and health promotion,
in the form of individual interventions, systematic reviews, and
resources.

The goals of this Workshop will be to:

Showcase the Portal's features and demonstrate how this tool will provide
decision makers with a comprehensive and standardized resource to approach
best practices for chronic disease prevention and control.
Apply the key elements of the Population Health Approach as participants
work through a case study on the topic of obesity while gaining hands on
experience with the portal.
Unveil the plans for Phase II of the project which include the
identification and evaluation of the uptake of the best practices by
users.

Register now at www.conference.cpha.ca/en/registration.html before all the
spots have been filled.
