We are so excited to kick off our 2004-2005 Network Exchange and Speaker
Series on Tuesday.

The Theme:  How to change the impacts of Low Income.
Key Note Speaker:  Renowned expert, Ron Saunders, Work Network Director,
Canadian Policy Research Network.
Tuesday September 28 at the Victoria Park Pavilion
Door open at 11:30 for lunch, presentation begins at noon.  ($10 dollars
cash at the door)

THEN, we get the wonderful news that Mary MacKeigan is coming on board as
our new Executive Director and will be attending the Speaker Series to meet
everyone.

AND THEN, Dr. Dennis Raphael cleared his schedule to also attend the
Speaker
Series on Tuesday, accompanied by his just published book, "Social
Determinants of Health:  Canadian Perspectives".  Dr. Raphael, as general
editor, has compiled an impressive array of top academics and experts in
contributing on how socio-economic factors affect our health.  It is the
most current research available.  Already on university reading lists, it's
sure to be a much referenced guide for all of us in our quest for changes.

Dr. Raphael will bring copies, and one can be yours for just $45.00.

If you haven't yet registered for the event on Tuesday, there is still
time.
We must have our numbers in by Friday afternoon.  Details follow, and Lea
Porter will get you on the list!  Please join us.
