I am working with a group of public health nurses in a health region near
Vancouver, BC. I was wondering if anybody had any information on any of
the following public health nursing related topics:
1. Experience with Nursing Councils which are specific to public health
nursing (e.g., terms of reference; vision, values & development of a
strategic plan for public health nursing, etc.).
2. Standards of nursing practice that are specific to public health nursing
or PHN service delivery (e.g., perinatal, child health, school health,
etc).
3. Suggestions as to good sources for literature reviews of research which
is directly applicable to public health nursing practice and service
delivery (I am already aware and have found very helpful the literature
reviews of the research published by the University of Toronto/McMaster
University from the Quality of Nursing Worklife Research Unit).
Thank you for your assistance. Janet
