The Self-Help Resource Centre has released two new prevention resources
written by / for communities at risk for stroke. Working with diverse
communities, the Empowering Stroke Prevention Project was funded by the
Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Change Foundation to
develop tools that community members could use to prevent stroke locally.
The tools include a pocket-sized educational booklet written in plain
language and a companion guide for those wanting to organize stroke
prevention activities in their own communities. Limited print copies are
available. To request a free copy, email [log in to unmask] or call
416-487-4355 or 1-888-283-8806. Copies are also available for download in
PDF format. Visit http://www.selfhelp.on.ca
