Hi Sue,

Our community health service is doing some work with residents in a
public housing estate to reduce barriers to opportunities for physical
activity and we are working with staff in a local fitness centre on
this. I'm happy to discuss the details of this if you'd like to contact
me.

Cheers
Olive

between fitness industries and local communities

Hi there, I would like to pick the collective brains of this
listserve to find out about exisiting programs that have demonstrated
successful partnerships between the fitness industry and local
communities (especially more disadvantaged communities) where potential
barriers of access; finances; childcare; etc have been overcome and it
has become an integral sustainable and relevant resource to the
community...

(sorry a bit light weight compared to normal topics on this
list!!)
