Our study looked at the perceptions of what does not make life good for people in
Riverdale.  The great thing about Riverdale is that even though people themselves
may not be poor, they see poverty as an issue.  Therefore, poverty is a problem for
them as well! And this is what we heard from EVERYBODY and reported.

As Marilyn Churley stated: "Particularly in South Riverdale, but all across the
Riverdale area, for whatever reason, and I haven't quite figured it out, it is a very
active political community, that has an awful lot of caring folk who get very
involved in not just the issues that are of concern to them, but are of concern to the
community... So that if you have poor children in South Riverdale, there is a lot of
interest in the neighbourhood to make sure they are getting fed."
