Dear Colleagues
The Public Policy and Public Participation report is well received and
provides a good summary of policy related matters. The report refers to the
following document from Health Canada but all searches I have done reveal
not one but masses related to the topic despite searching for the specific
title.
Can anyone provide a more precise website (The quote below refers to the
document)
Health Canada's Policy Toolkit for Public Involvement in Decision Making
(Health Canada,
2000a) is a comprehensive, well-laid-out document that provides a wealth of
information. It sets
out departmental context, vision, purpose, principles, and process; includes
a design toolkit; and
concludes with an excellent section on techniques. The techniques are
organized into five levels,
the first and second having to do with information flow, the third with
consultation, the fourth
with engagement and the fifth with partnering.
