JOIN US AT THE 2005 Australian Health Promotion Association Conference
TO DISCUSS INITIATING HEALTH PROMOTING HOSPITALS/HEALTH SERVICES NETWORKS IN AUSTRALIA
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is growing interest and activity in Australia to set up State/Territory networks and a National Network for Health Promoting Hospitals/ Health Services. Those familiar with the WHO International Network of Health Promoting Hospitals in Europe and similar networks in Canada and other parts of the world will know they have proven valuable for sharing information and experience, fostering an evidence-based approach and increasing management support for health promotion involving health care settings.
To discuss action to set up State/Territory networks and an Australian Network of Health Promoting Hospitals/Health Services, a meeting will be held at the 2005 AHPA Conference:
a.. Monday 14 March 2005
b.. 12.45-1.45pm (BYO lunch)
c.. Fitzroy Room, National Convention Centre, Canberra
Colleagues from Victoria and South Australia who are involved in getting networks underway will report on their progress and contribute to discussions.
For further information about the meeting and to follow up after the conference, please contact Sally Fawkes ([log in to unmask]) or Clare Thurman ([log in to unmask]; +61 (03) 9764 6367).
