Fall convocation marks new season for grads - Just as the falling leaves on the ground indicate the end of summer, the annual Fall Convocation ceremonies also indicate a change in seasons in the life of students who have completed their studies at the University of Alberta.

University of Alberta professor chosen as Royal College president-elect - Louis Francescutti has been selected as the 41st president of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The University of Alberta professor, emergency room physician and crusader for public safety was elected at a council meeting held this week in Ottawa.
